4×4 conversions

Whether you need to move people safely and comfortably across rough terrain, provide life-saving ambulance services amidst crumbling infrastructure or transport goods and cargo, our 4×4 conversions are engineered with off-road suspension systems and heavy-duty braking that takes on all terrain. We also add a custom, specially engineered front differential, a custom 4×4 transfer case, a custom 4×4 prop shaft and heavy-duty lower control arms. With all this custom hardware, your vehicle can take the hard knocks, and keep on performing.

Right Hand Drive

RMA has extensive experience building Right Hand Drive (RHD) Conversions. At our 21,000m2 facility near Melbourne in Australia, Ford and RMA Automotive work together on conversion of the stalwart F-150 truck from LHD to RHD, all according to “Built Ford Tough” quality and manufacturing standards. The end result: Unbeatable quality, capability and comfort.

Blackout Function

RMA’s bespoke engineering team is capable to design a system for stationary observation or active surveillance. At the flick of a switch, all vehicle lights and sound sources are turned off. When the operator turns on “Black Out,” a series of control modules gets activated and instructs all smart modules to turn off their light sources or enter sleep mode. All passive systems are also switched off to prevent any light illumination. Sound emitting sources such as the horn and warning beepers are also switched off.

Electrified Vehicles (PHEV / HEV)

The RMA Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Plug-In Electric Vehicle (PHEV) Conversion Program is based at our Assembly and Distribution Center in Thailand.
 After buying US-based Spruce Power (formerly XL Fleet – a certified Vehicle Modifier for all major North American brands with experience in hybrid and plugin hybrid conversions of fleet vehicles like vans, pick-up trucks and shuttle buses), we completed our HEV-conversion pilot program.

JP8 Fuels

Ability for engines to run reliably and at high performance levels on dirty fuel or JP8 jet fuel are common requirements for our commercial and defence customers. Modern diesel engines struggle to operate on bad fuel due to contaminants, heat values, cetane number or viscosity, which ruin the fuel delivery and control system. We adjust the emission control system to avoid clogging or malfunction. This means that when you are in a critical area of operation, your vehicle will keep performing. Get this wrong, and the results can be critical performance loss or even total immobilisation. ​
